Menu for the Week ending 4/20

Hi Everyone, The greens in the tunnels are Ready!!! I am readying the other beds of the gardens for tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and squashes. Some wild edibles are ready to harvest- garlic mustard, chickweed, violets and dandelions. They will be surfacing in the bags of greens! There will not be a menu next week. I have a big festival to present food at in Scranton, PA (NEPA Green Fair) Have a great week! - Lois

Please return any jars, dishes or containers.

On Saturday, your order will arrive at the Log Tavern Brewery in Milford, with my staff.  You may pick up your order anytime from noon- 8pm on Saturday.  Unless other arrangements are made

From the Gardens -

EGGS! The hens are ready to go. They have had free-range of our property (Until the hawks started picking them off) Eating greens, seeds, bugs, and layer pellet. Deep Orange yolks. $5/dozen

Salad Greens - We have a mix of Italian Greens - Valeriana, Claytonia, Arugula and others. $6/bag

Saute Greens - Spinach, Mustard Greens, Kale, Tatsoi, and others. $6/bag

 

Cultured Products: For Gut Health !

Kombucha-  Made with Organic Green and Black Tea, Non-GMO Sugar, and cultures. Full of beneficial Probiotic bacteria. Flavors this week are Blood Orange, Raspberry or Ginger $6/quart $10/ half-gallon

Ukrainian Cabbage Slaw - Red and Green Cabbage with Carrots, Onions and Peppers in a Lacto-Fermented Dressing.  Full of beneficial bacteria for your gut health. $10/quart  $20/half- gallon

 

Keifer - A yogurt-like drink.  Cultured with pro-biotics, flavored with my own Raspberries.  $6/quart

 

From the Salad Bar:

Sale Salads $4.50/pint (made more than we needed on Friday.) (limited supply)

Energizing Quinoa Bowl -  A salad of quinoa, steamed beets, steamed carrots, kale, chickpeas and pepitas with a garlic/mustard vinaigrette.

Pina-Colada Carrot Salad - Shredded carrots and parsnips with shredded coconut and fresh pineapple.

Summer Lentil Salad - Sprouted black beluga lentils with zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, sweet corn and shallots.

Chopped Corn/ Broccoli Salad - Fresh corn, fresh broccoli, red onions, parmesan cheese, cilantro, lime juice, spices.

Pad Thai Salad - Inspired by Thai Cuisine, cabbage, greens, bell peppers, bean sprouts, nuts, scallions, egg. - Served with a side of spicy peanut dressing.

 

From the Kitchen - Meals

Sausage & Pepper Frittata - Locally made sausage, red bell peppers. My own eggs. $6/serving

Linguine Giardiniera - Cauliflower, Tomatoes, Olives, fennel, garlic, spices, pine nuts, served over pasta. $8/serving

Chicken Buddha Bowl - Roasted Chicken, Sweet potatoes, Black beans, Mango, and Seasoned Rice. $9/bowl

Chicken Pot Pie - A homemade crust filled with Chicken, Potatoes, onions, carrots, celery,- Hearty Sized $9/each

Salmon & Potato Cakes. Salmon, purple potatoes, onions, celery, capers and spiced cornmeal. Served over a bed of chef's choice veggies $7/serving

 

Grab Bag Soups - Time to empty the freezers and start fresh for the new season. $3/pint - our choice of flavors. Pick meat lovers or vegetarian. If you order a bunch, we'll give you a nice variety.

Potato Pancakes - Shredded Purple Potatoes, and red onion. Pan fried in butter . $6/ pint 

Root Vegetable Roast -  Sweet Potatoes, Purple Potatoes,   carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, onions and Garlic (olive oil and herbs, salt & pepper)  -$6/pint

Banana Nut "Ice Cream" - Using only bananas, nuts, and a hint of maple syrup. $5/pint

Amazing Granola Bars - Cashews, Almonds, Pecans, Coconut ,Sesame, Flax, Chia, Hemp hearts, raisins, Maple Syrup &  coconut oil - dipped in quality dark chocolate. $3.00/ each Vegan, gluten-free

Golden Rice Pudding - Jasmine rice with Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon & Cardamom spices. Contains eggs and dairy. $4/pint

Gingersnaps - A soft molasses cookie with loads of Ginger, (powdered, ground and chunks of crystallized ginger) $10 /dozen

Plants - My perennials keep spreading.  I'll be happy to dig some up for your gardens.  This is what is available: lemon balm, Japanese buttercups, comfrey, spearmint, bee balm, golden raspberries, blackcaps, black berries, red- raspberries.  Each pot is $5
