Menu for the Week ending 8/17


Hello Everyone - Today I am headed to the Adirondacks to go blueberry picking on an island. My idea of a vacation. Hope to come back with a full cooler of berries. I'll be cooking for you on Wednesday - Friday. Hope I'm making something you'll like. - Lois

On Saturday and Sunday, your order will be available for pick up at the Log Tavern Brewery from noon - closing. 

From the Gardens -

EGGS 6 dozen total available this week -(Family is complaining they never have eggs) They have had free-range of our many acre property. Eating greens, seeds, bugs, and layer pellet. Deep Orange yolks. $5/dozen

Berries - wild blueberries - $6/pint

Rhubarb - Used in desserts or as a side dish. $3/pound

Herbs - I have spearmint, oregano, rosemary, lemon balm $1/each -in baggie


From the Apiary:

Kombucha-  Made with Organic Green and Black Tea, Non-GMO Sugar, and cultures. Full of beneficial Probiotic bacteria. Flavors of the week are Ginger or blueberry $6/quart $10/ half-gal

Lavender Water Keifer - fermented juice, naturally carbonated & delicious full of probiotics $5/quart $10/ half-gallon

Ukrainian Cabbage Salad - Red and Green Cabbage, Bell Peppers, Onions and Carrots & spices  - Lacto Fermentation $6/pint $10/quart


From the Salad Bar: $6/pint

Broccoli Salad - Chopped raw broccoli with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, red onion, smoked dulse and dried cranberries and/or raisins.

Roasted Cauliflower - with Spinach, Orzo, Bulgarian Feta and Kalamata olives.

Keen Green Quinoa - Apples, Grapes, Pecans and Arugula in a Maple Vinaigrette

Mexican Street Corn - Blackened local corn with Red Onions, Jalapenos, Parmesan Cheese, Orzo and spices. Avocado Dressing on the side.


From the Kitchen - Meals

Chicken Fajita Bowl - A spiced combination of chicken, peppers and onions Over a Rice & Beans mixture. $10/serving

Vegan Bowl - A mixture of roasted vegetables and spices over a bed of brown rice. $9/bowl

Bacon & Tomato Quiche - Half a pepper filled with bacon, local tomatoes, feta & eggs. $5/half pepper

Vegetarian Quiche - Half a pepper filled with wild spinach, vegan cheese, eggs and spices. $5/half- pepper

Sawkill Stout Chili - Log Tavern Stout, Butcher Boys beef, peppers, onions, celery, tomatoes, black beans. $6/pint

BBQ Pulled Pork over a bed of Jasmine Rice (side of coleslaw to put on before serving) $10/serving

Fish Taco Bowl - Baked, spiced Flounder, Mango Salsa, chopped red cabbage, and a sprinkle of cheese on top. Served over cilantro-lime brown rice.- $10/serving (can serve with your own taco shells if desired)


Snacks and Sides - 

Spinach Artichoke Dip  - Spinach, Artichoke hearts, sour cream, mayo, garlic and spices.  Serve with your veggies or chips. $5/ half- pint 

Hummus - chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, tahini, roasted peppers, yogurt, olive oil, cilantro.   $5/ half-pint



Golden Rice Pudding - Jasmine rice with Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon & Cardamom spices. Contains eggs and dairy. $4/pint, $2/ half-pint

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp -Lots of local strawberries and rhubarb with an oat topping. $12/ (enough for 4 servings)

Banana Nut "Ice Cream" - Using only bananas, nuts, and a hint of maple syrup. $5/pint

Stewed Rhubarb & Ginger - $3/pint. Serve over oatmeal, ice cream or eat like applesauce.

Amazing Granola Bars - Cashews, Almonds, Pecans, Coconut, Sesame, Flax, Chia, Hemp hearts, raisins, Maple Syrup &  coconut oil - dipped in quality dark chocolate. $3.00/ each Vegan, gluten-free

Gingersnaps - A soft molasses cookie with loads of Ginger, (powdered, ground and chunks of crystallized ginger) $10 /dozen

Blueberry Scones - Adirondack blueberries in a moist scone.  Topped with chambord icing.  $10/4 scones

Lemon Tarts - A lovely, lemon custard in a crust made by my wonderful mother! (Filling = Eggs, organic lemon, organic sugar, butter and vanilla.)  $3/serving 

Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies - A recipe with 5 ingredients. Peanut butter, sugar, eggs, baking powder and vanilla


Full Fruit/Veg  Juices:    $5/pint $10/quart
Bloody Mary - Tomato, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, lemon and celery seed.  A mix for you to combine with the ETOH of your choice, Or Not 
Peach, Cantaloupe, Mango - A thick blend of three fruits, lime, lemon verbena, and a touch of organic sugar
Minted Honeydew - Melons, cucumbers, lemon and fresh mint
Strawberry Rhubarb - Pie in a cup!  Local fruit
Raspberry & Strawberry Watermelon - Lots of berries with watermelon and a bit of lemon.  No sweeteners added
Lemonades -  Made with Organic Lemons, Organic Sugar and real fruit or spices to flavor.    $8/quart
Coconut Chai Lemonade - A lemonade filled with rich spices 
Lavender Lemonade - A favorite at the Farm Stands
Raspberry Lemonade - We live on a Raspberry farm - this is our own fruit.
Blueberry Lemonade - Adirondack wild blueberries
